Mr. Sandlin began his professional career as a student intern with Barrish Pelham in 1996.  Upon graduation he became a full time project engineer and later senior engineer and associate.  In recognition of his outstanding engineering abilities and contribution to the firm's clients, Mr. Sandlin was promoted to the position of Principal in 2006.  He has developed a high level of expertise in the investigation, analysis and strengthening of existing buildings.  His work includes the structural design of new facilities, modification of existing buildings and repair of earthquake, wind and fire damaged buildings.

Mr. Sandlin has conducted over 300 property damage field inspections. He has extensive experience with damaged and degraded building materials. He maintains excellent working relationships with numerous insurance claim adjustors and local restoration contractors.  Mr. Sandlin has provided post disaster assessments following major earthquake and hurricane events.  He has performed numerous school, commercial and residential structural designs in varying building materials.
